As a longtime Vienna resident and lifetime advocate for public education, I’m honored to present myself before Hunter Mill voters, asking for the opportunity to be your voice on the Fairfax County School board over the next four years. The past few years have been especially trying for advocates of public education, with pressure from both the federal government and Richmond to drain our schools of the resources that help our children learn. As a former employee of the Department of Education and a longtime education consultant, for FCPS and school districts throughout Virginia, I know I have the knowledge and temperament to be an advocate for our kids on my first day in office.

I look forward to getting to know many of you in the coming year and a half! I know that there are many issues throughout Hunter Mill district, some very particular to certain schools while others impact every family in the district. I know that the only way I could possibly be prepared to be your voice on the school board is to hear about your concerns and worries directly from you.
